Cachoeira mine, Piauí valley, Taquaral, Itinga, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Open-cast mine in a spodumene pegmatite, presently operated by CBL (Companhia Brasileira do Lítio). The spodumene crystals reach lengths to 1.5 m at diameters of 30 cm, and form about 80% of the rock.
